Spring 2009 Newsletter
The mission of Great Land Trust is to “work with willing landowners and other partners to conserve southcentral Alaska’s lands and waterways”. One of our top priorities is to secure properties which provide access to local and regional parks such as Chugach State Park. Great Land Trust serves an area of some 33,000 square miles, home to more than 50% of Alaska’s population. Featured in this newsletter, is a map of our service area with our current and past projects highlighted. The Great Land Trust works in partnership with willing private and public landowners to permanently conserve special lands, signature landscapes and waters essential to the quality of life and economic health of communities in the region.
