November 28, 2023 Anchorage, AK- Great Land Trust (GLT), with the support of the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), is working to create a new 300-acre park immediately adjacent to Potter Marsh. Settlers Bay Coastal Park has officially grown by 187 acres! The newly acquired land has been incorporated into Settlers Bay Coastal Park, bringing the park’s total size to 480 acres, increasing recreation opportunities, protecting forest and wetland habitat, and directly connecting a new neighborhood to the park.
